Instructions for Submission

ADVERTISING, GRAPHIC DESIGN, AND HIGH SCHOOL ENTRIES:

Except for new media entries, all entries must be submitted as PDF or JPEG files with resolution suitable for on-screen presenting and judging. Acceptable files range from around [700 x 900] pixels to [1400 x 1800] pixels in RGB color mode. There is no exact size required, but our judges should be able to see your design clearly and be able to read any important text when viewing the file at 100% on screen. Multipage documents (such as magazines) should be presented in PDF files. You can save in the PDF format out of most applications, such as Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. If your entry has small text relevant to the communication, you may submit a second image showing a close-up view of this text and put both JPEG images in a ZIP file. Important: Each file should be under 3 MB. All submissions are final.

*A good way to save a jpeg in the Adobe Suite is: FILE MENU > SAVE FOR THE WEB > JPEG

*A good way to save a PDF in the Adobe Suite is: FILE MENU > SAVE > FORMAT > PDF (or Photoshop PDF). Please use the [Smallest File Size] PDF setting.

If you have any problems email Jeff Price at : jeff.price@oc.edu

NOTE: Your jpeg files must be viewable in a web browser. They should be stored with the RGB color model, NOT the CMYK model.
